Ira Sankey Singing the Gospel

From the time he was very young, Ira Sankey loved to sing. And God had big plans for Ira’s voice—plans that would take him all over America and Europe. As part of D. L. Moody’s ministry team, Ira sang the gospel to thousands of men and women. Ira and his family experienced times of sadness and need—and even terrors like the Great Chicago Fire. Through it all Ira maintained his trust in God and his belief that the right song at the right moment could change lives.
